Who is responsible for your Safety?
Who is responsible for your co-worker’s Safety?
The answer to both questions is … You Are!
Safety is not just about OSHA regulations. You personally play a critical role in achieving and maintaining Safety for you and for co-workers in your workplace, each and every day.
Most OSHA’s regulations are covered in ‘General Industry’ training. With the exception of the Construction Industry, General Industry training will apply to most businesses, including Healthcare. If you can think of a Hazard, it is probably covered in one of our General Industry workshop.
In the workplace, some Hazards are more obvious than others; like forklifts or saws, working at heights or in confined spaces, or Emergency Action Plans and fire prevention. Other Hazards are not so obvious; like carcinogens or flammable chemicals, charged electrical wires or pressurized pipes, or radiation. What all Hazards have in common is that they can take your life.
Safety standards set by OSHA have been created in response to fatalities and injuries to others. We use OSHA’s standards as a foundation for our training, and then go beyond OSHA standards. Our General Industry interactive workshop will teach you how become aware of potential Hazards, and to better understand the steps you should take to ensure you, and your co-workers, will not become a Hazard statistic.
